This post was inspired by polio's posting of Dr. Quinn medicine woman fanvids (which were insanely, insanely good.) It's a little harder with a comedy rather than a western drama that's all about dreamy gazes. If only I had access to editing equipment and knew a good filmmaker/film editor... Giles Spring 2009

As soon as I thought of Giles, I had so many Nanny/Giles related musings. First, Giles at Moschino would totally be my dream pairing of designer to design house. Secondly, I think Giles is more suited to Fran Fine than perhaps any other designer I've featured. (it captures her sense of humor.) Lastly, how insanely good would it be if Katie Grand styled the Nanny? Katie Grand styling and Fran wearing a bunch of Giles would be the best combo ever. Maybe there could be an episode where Giles would do a guest spot and he would be Niles's designer brother, Giles, and they would get into a fight over CC Babcock. Have you guys seen the episode with Fran's cousin Toddy (Todd Oldham)? Consider this the first of many Giles related posts.

Altuzarra Fall 2009

It's been pretty hectic work-wise but hopefully I'll be better about taking some time out for posting this coming week. On another note, is there a way I can get my hands on a pair of black suede thigh high socks? They look amazing! I guess the practical question would be what shoes to wear with them or even more practically, if they would rub uncomfortably and give me a rash or blisters. Ahhh, fashion. So glamorous.

Sinha-Stanic Fall 2008

Turtleneck? Check.
Sinha-Stanic's fall 2008 collection was inspired by Freaks and Geeks. The first outfit is perfect for my casual dream date with Bill Haverchuck which would consist of sitting in front of the tv, watching Dallas and eating sandwiches. For a formal dream date, I would wear the second outfit to a restaurant for competitive all you can eat ribs.

I have to admit, that I don't usually look at Dolce and Gabbana's collections but this one is turning out to be one of my favorites of the season. Can we talk about the last look? The ruffly cape with gold ruffled boots? I'm in love with that last look.

While I was photoshopping these looks I couldn't get that scene out of my head from the Bruno trailer. "What is D and G?" "Dolce and Gabbana, hellooo!" I'm so excited for the Bruno movie. Sacha Baron Cohen is a genius. BTW, if you haven't seen the photos from Marie Claire of Bruno with Alesandra Ambrosio (sp?), you will die.
