I can't contain my excitement. I got a shout out from Fashin, which I love by the way. aiiii! Not to get all sorry for myself on the internet (which seems to happen a lot on blogs? I once had a livejournal when I was 17(?) and it was the biggest pity party for one.), but I was starting to wonder if anyone was looking at the blog. I think this has really been my week. Good things happening on the work front too. This one's for you.

Technical Difficulties
The hardest thing about photoshopping the images is a lot of times the skin tones don't match, which you can see below. Color correcting is not my forte. Make up and lighting has really changed since the early 90s. More so than the clothing styles I'd say. I really wanted to do Roksanda Ilincic's Resort collection (beautiful!) but I had a really hard time matching skin tones so that it wouldn't look really fake. End result, Fran looks really washed out and the skin tones still don't match. Luckily, Fran favored turtleneck looks and they kind of take care of the whole skin tone matching issue.

should be on...CC Babcock?
For some reason recently, I have been hearing the siren call of Miss CC Babcock. I don't know. CC in the second donna karan outfit pretty much sold that outfit to me. Kind of odd. Anyways, I'm kind of into Bottega Veneta. Tomas Maier does such a good job of that subtle, neutral shade pallette, clean sophistication. Who better to wear one of his beige-y outfits than Miss Babcock?

Edit: Donna Karan Fall 2009
I received a comment from polio (I feel like Cathy Horyn!) on my previous Donna Karan post stating, "see, i would think it's so much more c.c. but maybe it's b/c i always think tan camelhair + cashmere = donna karan = c.c." As soon as I read that, I saw my mistake. Well played, polio, well played.
